Boris is privacy lawyer and partner at Scheja & Partner, a German law firm specialised in data protection and information technology law. With 20 years of data protection experience, he advises national and international companies from various industry sectors with up to 400 million customers on all privacy and data security related matters, including cross-border data flows, outsourcing, corporate privacy programs and policies, data breaches, risk assessments, audits, marketing campaigns, HR data protection and many more. Additionally, he is responsible for the law firm’s data protection management software “PrivacyPilot”.
Before joining Scheja & Partner, Boris was appointed data protection officer at a worldwide operating telecommunications provider and worked for several community law centers in Germany and New Zealand.
Boris is admitted to the bar in Germany and is a certified data protection officer. He is a regular speaker at national and international data protection conferences and is regularly publishing on privacy issues. He is also assistant professor at the University of Oldenburg, with a research and teaching focus on data protection law.
