Cătălin Gabriel Stănescu is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen (Denmark), Visiting Associate Professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law (China), and Visiting Lecturer at Babes-Bolyai University (Romania) and University of Szeged (Hungary).
His research and teaching focus on topics related to consumer finance, non-judicial debt collection and digital law. In 2018, he was awarded a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship through the European Commission’s Horizon 2020. In 2015, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the doctoral program of CEU, with a thesis dedicated to self-help and private debt collection, which he published with Springer Law during the same year.
Cătălin has extensive practical experience in the field of Romanian and international private law and often speaks at international conferences on areas related to commercial, consumer, energy and investment law. He published several monographs and over twenty articles in nationally and internationally recognized law journals.
