Ioana Olaru is Public Notary, member of UNNPR – National Union Of Notaries Public From Romania. Starting with 2011 she has been a trainer in Private International Law and European Private Law at the Romanian Notarial Institute. She holds a doctoral degree in Civil Law from Babes-Bolyai University, Faculty of Law. She has been actively engaged in projects aiming at the digitalization of legal activity and the creation of new instruments that would reduce obstacles faced by international families and facilitate free movement of citizens by providing better certainty and predictability of results in matters of family and succession law.
Her latest book, The Reserved Portion in National and Private International Law, published in 2019 by Solomon Editors (Bucharest), has been awarded by the Union of Legal Professionals from Romania (UJR).
